Erasmus+ 2021-2027
Erasmus+ is the European Union program to support the education, training, youth and sport sectors, for the period 2021-2027.

High-quality and inclusive education and training, as well as informal and non-formal learning opportunities, equip young people and participants of all ages with the qualifications and skills needed for active participation in democratic society, intercultural understanding and a successful transition into job market.

The Program offers opportunities for mobility and cooperation in the fields of:

• School education
• Vocational education and training
• High school education
• Youth
• Adult education
• Sport
• Jean Monnet

In an ever-changing, more mobile, multicultural and digital society, European citizens need to possess ever better knowledge, skills and competences; spending time in another country to study, train and work, and speaking two other languages in addition to your mother tongue should become the norm.

Building on the success achieved in the 2014-2020 period, Erasmus+ has a financial envelope of 28.4 billion euros for the new seven-year period, an amount almost double the previous one. The Program expands opportunities for more participants and a broad range of organizations.

Within it, a strong emphasis is placed on some priorities in particular:

• social inclusion,
• environmental sustainability,
• the transition to digital,

the promotion of young people's participation in democratic life.
Erasmus+ supports the priorities and activities set by the European Education Area, the Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027, the EU Youth Strategy and the European Union Work Plan for sport.

In Italy
The Erasmus+ program is managed in Italy by three National Agencies, responsible for the different sectors:

• Agenzia Nazionale Giovani – Youth sector
• Erasmus+ National Agency INDIRE – Education sector
• Erasmus+ National Agency INAPP – Vocational training sector.

The contact body for all information on Erasmus+ – Sport sector is the Office for Sport, at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

The three Agencies co-manage the national website dedicated to Erasmus+, a single source on the Program requested by the European Commission; it can be accessed at www.erasmusplus.it

The website of the National Youth Agency offers the main information and documents for participating in the Youth sector of the 2021-2027 Programme.
